Like every artist I have been looking for ways to sell more art. I had previously done some small prints on paper which I framed and sold through a local gift shop/gallery, but recently someone I know bought one of the latest technology Epson Stylus Pro 9900 wide format printers. It can print Giclee Canvas Art Prints up to 44″ wide and as long as you want. This printer uses the Epson Ultrachrome inks which are guaranteed not to fade for 100 years.
I initially wondered just how close to the original the Giclee Reproduction on canvas would look, but they look absolutely fantastic. The colors match perfectly, and being on canvas you can hardly tell that it is a print.
I have now started selling them through the Giclee Artists Prints website, which offers other artists and photographers the opportunity to have their original works of art turned into Giclee Reproductions (and they were the most competitively priced that I could find).
